How does creating and sharing a card work?
Creating a Greetopia card takes about a minute. You pick a template, add a message, and get a link you can share with the people you want to sign. This page explains each step.
How do I create a card on Greetopia?
Browse the template gallery, pick a design that fits the occasion, and open it. You land on the setup page, where you enter the recipient name and email, choose when to deliver it, and start editing your message.
You can browse templates without an account, but you need one to create a card so we can send you delivery confirmations and let you edit it later.
Do I need to sign up to create a card?
Yes, the person creating the card needs an account. This lets us send you delivery confirmations, let you come back and edit the card, and remember your contacts and events for next time.
Signing up takes about ten seconds: an email address and a password. You verify your email before you can schedule or send a card.
How do I invite other people to sign my card?
After you create the card you get a share link. Send that link to anyone by email, Slack, WhatsApp, or however you normally reach people. They open the link, add their message, and their signature appears on the card. There is no cap on how many people can sign one card.
Do the people signing my card need to sign up?
No. Signing is completely open. Contributors click your link, type their message and name, and that is it. No account, no email required.
This is on purpose. We want the barrier to signing a card to be as close to zero as possible, so nobody is left out because they did not want to make an account.
Can I edit the card after people have started signing?
You can edit your own message and the delivery settings at any point before delivery. You cannot edit other people messages, because those belong to them.
You cannot change the card design after the card is created. You choose the design during setup, so pick the one you want before you finish creating the card.
What if I change my mind about the recipient?
You can update the recipient name and email from the card Card Info section any time before delivery. This is handy if you sent the link to the wrong person or the plan changed.
What happens if the recipient email is wrong?
The card and every signature stay intact. Update the address from the card Card Info section before delivery, and it goes to the right place.
It is worth checking the email before a scheduled card is due, because a card cannot be recalled once it has been sent.
