How does deleting a card work?
You can delete any card you created. What happens next depends on who paid for the upgrade. This page covers all three cases.
How do I delete a card I created?
Open My Greetings, find the card, and choose Delete. Confirm on the dialog and it is gone. This cannot be undone.
What happens when I delete a card I upgraded myself?
The card is fully deleted. It leaves your dashboard, the recipient loses access to the delivered card, and every signature, message, photo, and voice note goes with it. Nothing is kept.
What happens if I delete a card I upgraded with group credits?
The card is fully deleted, but a record of the credit spend stays in the group credit-usage list, so the owner can still see what the credit was used on. The entry shows the recipient and the date, with the sender listed as a former user.
The credit is not refunded to the group. Spent credits stay spent.
What happens if I delete a card the recipient paid to upgrade?
The card is kept for the recipient rather than destroyed, because they paid to keep it. Your name is changed to "Former user" in their view, and they keep the card with everything you and the other signers added. You still see it leave your own dashboard.
Does the recipient get notified when I delete a card?
No. Deletions are silent. If the card had been delivered, the recipient may notice next time they open the link: either the card is gone, or their view shows "Former user" instead of your name.
Can I delete just my signature on someone else card?
Yes, if the card has not been delivered yet. Open the card, open your signature, and delete it. That removes your message and name from that card without touching anyone else.
Can I delete a card someone else created that I signed?
No. The card belongs to whoever created it. You can remove your own signature before delivery, or ask the creator to delete the whole card.
