How does group credits work?
Group credits are a shared pool the owner buys and any member can spend on card upgrades. This page covers the three pack sizes, how spending is tracked, and what happens if you delete a card you upgraded with credits.
What are group credits?
Credits are the currency inside a group. One credit upgrades one card to premium. The owner buys credits in packs, and any member can spend them on any card they created. Credits never expire.
What credit packs are available?
Three sizes: 25 credits for $39.99, 50 credits for $69.99, and 100 credits for $129.99. The bigger the pack, the lower the price per credit, so the 100 pack is the best value at about $1.30 a credit.
Who can buy credits for a group?
Only the owner can buy packs. Members can spend credits but cannot buy more. When a group is running low, we notify the owner so they can top it up before it hits zero.
How does a member actually use a credit?
Create a card, then open the upgrade. You see the choice between your own payment and group credits. Pick the group, confirm the spend, and the card upgrades right away.
Can two people spend the same credit at the same time?
No. Every spend is its own transaction. If a group has one credit left and two members try to upgrade at the same moment, one succeeds and the other is asked to pick a different group. That is how we make sure a group can never go below zero.
Are credits refundable?
No. A credit is a prepaid right to upgrade a card, so a pack is non-refundable once bought, and spending a credit is final too.
If you delete a card that was upgraded with a group credit, the credit does not come back. And when a group is archived, any credits left in it are frozen and cannot be spent or refunded.
Why do credits not come back when a card is deleted?
Because the upgrade already happened: premium features were unlocked, the PDF was downloadable, the card could be kept forever. Refunding on delete would let someone upgrade, use the features, then reclaim the credit. Spend that stays spent is standard for any digital credit system.
Can I see what credits have been spent on?
Yes, if you are the owner. The group dashboard has a credit-usage table showing every spend: who used it, which card, who the recipient was, and when it was scheduled or delivered. Members see their own usage, not other people usage.
