How does group cards work?

A group is a shared space where a team pools credits and uses them together. Any member can spend those credits to upgrade cards, without paying out of their own pocket.

Groups suit teams, families, gaming clans, PTAs, or any set of people who send cards together and would rather not settle up every time.

Any user with a Greetopia account. There is no paid tier required. You become the owner the moment you create it.

Two kinds. A "specific people" group is one where you add members by email. A "domain" group automatically includes anyone whose email is on a domain you control, like your company.

You pick the kind when you create the group, and it cannot be changed later.

Specific-people groups are best for teams that do not share an email domain, like families, friends, or a small cross-company project.

Domain groups are better for a company where you want any coworker to be able to join and use credits without inviting each person by hand.

When you upgrade a card, you see two ways to pay: your own payment, or group credits. If you belong to a group with credits available, you pick which group to spend from and confirm.

The credit comes out of that group balance once you confirm, so an accidental tap cannot spend one.

Yes, as many as you like. When you upgrade a card you see all your groups, sorted so the ones with the most credits are easy to reach.

No. Groups are free to create and free to be part of. The only cost is when the owner buys a credit pack.

Members cannot spend from that group until the owner tops it up. The group stays active, existing cards keep working, and members can still create cards. They just cannot use that group credits until it has more.

When a group is running low, we let the owner know automatically.
